Great friends..........

Had a terrific arvo & dinner with Noel & Raylee our friends that we met at Lake Maraboon. They were on their way South & stayed overnight in our park in Mackay especially to catch up with us.

The extension is locked up and the hardest part is done!

Our view of the sun rising from our balcony at the Clarion Hotel.  We are staying here for 4 nights with Ox & Sue who have come up for a break from Phillip Island. It is so good to see them.

Sue and I fishing off the beach.  It's a beautiful sunny day.

Having a beer at the end of a hard days fishing with our mates!!

Beach racing......

The extension is really taking shape. The windows and cladding make all the difference.

Spent Saturday arvo at the Mackay Beach Horse Racing Festival.

It was something different watching horse racing on the sand and some people even watched from their boats!

Camping at the Cape

Took a break from Mackay and went camping in the tent for 3 days at Cape Palmerston.  We stayed here on our way to Mackay about 5 weeks ago and it's great to be back.  It's a magical spot that some friends we met in St George had told us to visit.

Tac caught a blue swimmer crab on his fishing rod!

Fishing in the sandy creek watching the tide go out.  The tides are big and you can literally see the water disappearing.

Our friends Helen and Ken took us for a tour around the area and this spot was beautiful!

At the end of a great day had a few beers with Helen & Ken.  We will come back to the Cape and see them again in a few months time.
