Mason Bay.....

Our camp spot in pretty Mason Bay overlooking the water.  We practically had the place to ourselves!
We caught a few herring off the beach.....

.....just metres from our van.

On the road again....

More maintenance on one of the 8 farmhouses.

Two of the bedrooms needed to be patched and totally repainted.
All completed and looks like a new house.
On the road again and first stop is York a gorgeous country town with lots of heritage.
Wave rock was great to see.......

....along with Hippo's Yawn.

Building maintenance.......

A foggy morning on the farm.
Tac is replacing the door jamb on one of the shearing sheds as it had been eaten away by white ants.
We also dismantled the old ramp and.....
....built a new one!
These smaller ramps were also rebuilt.
We arrived home one arvo and found this sheep dog on our doorstep.  It turns out it is one of the resident farm dogs who went missing that morning.  Her name is Doreen and we spoilt her for a few hours till she had to go back to her kennel.  She definitely enjoyed laying by the fire and having a biscuit!

Benedictine monks.......

We took a tour of New Norcia a very unique place owned and occupied by eleven Benedictine monks.
This is the big iron gates that keep everybody other than the monks
 out of the monastery.....
....and this is a view of the building taken through the gates!
All of the architecture is of Spanish heritage which is where the
Monks originated from in the 1800's.
The interiors of the buildings are equally spectacular.....
.....and the walls and ceilings all hand painted.
The paintings were all done by the monks themselves and....
....and the scale of them very impressive.
