New Norcia....

One of the huge seeding tractors on the farm.  This machinery is what plants all the different seeds and rips up all the rocks in the ground that we have to pick up.
We spent today back at New Norcia in the town built and run by the Benedictine monks.  I am standing in front of the huge doors of the orphanage for aboriginal girls built back in the 1800’s.  After walking amongst all the historical buildings we had lunch in their pub and of course sampled one or two of their Abbey Ale beers!!

The new Optus Stadium....

Tac is out the front ready for a big game in Perth at the new stadium.  Go Tigers!!!
It’s an impressive stadium and.......
.......our boss from the farm gave us his members seats for the game!
Unfortunately we’re in the 4th qtr and Tigers aren’t looking good.

Happy Mother’s Day.....

Happy Mother’s Day to our Mums from two dusty kids!  This is what we look like after a day’s work picking rocks.
We come across quite a few really big rocks......

.....that Tac smashes up into pieces with a sledge hammer so we can pick them up!
It’s bloody hard yakka!!

“Calenup”

Spent a few nights at Merredin (in the Wheatbelt) and took in the sights.  This rock formation was like a mini version of “Wave Rock” a few hundred km South from here.

This will be our home for the next 5 weeks or so while we pick rocks on the property.
It is one of the 8 farm houses on the huge wheat and sheep farm where we will be working. This particular section of the farm is called “Calenup”.
