Blue Swimmers!!!

We spent our last day at Monkey Mia onboard a 60ft racing catamaran to......
......see the amazing dugongs in their natural habitat.  It was one of the best experiences we've had to view these peaceful creatures.  We were even lucky enough to get up close to a mother and its calf.  A very rare sighting!

Here I am at our next stop in Kalbarri.  This is the famous "nature's window" in the national park.
The scenery along the coast here is......
......spectacular as is the extremely strong winds!!
This was our dinner tonight - a plateful of blue swimmer crabs that we caught today off the jetty.  Wow are these guys tasty.  It's the nicest seafood I've ever eaten!

New Years Day at Monkey Mia.....

We spent an amazing day at Monkey Mia.......
....where we stood in the water with the beautiful dolphins.
Such beautiful gentle creatures that bought a tear to my eye as we watched them swim around us.
This special girl has recently been attacked by a shark and has many teeth marks on her body.

Renovations finished!

The first bathroom that we totally stripped and renovated removing shower walls that had fallen apart.

This is the second bathroom which got stripped and the plumbing moved.

A revamped bathroom with new tiles, shower hob and new screen.

This shower we fitted with a square screen and hob along with new wall tiling.

Merry Christmas.....

We spent Christmas Day on the beach at Gnaraloo.....
.....enjoying a cold beer or two!!

These are some of the wild goats on the station.  The babies are gorgeous.

Tac is in the drivers seat of one of the many vehicles on Gnaraloo.  Believe it or not they still drive and use this truck.  You feel like you are on the set of Mad Max!

Gnaraloo.......

Heading out to our new renovation job at Gnaraloo Station.

The road in was a bit of a sandy track.
These are some of the accommodation on the coastal property.  It is also a sheep and goat farm.
Tac is checking out the view from our cottage.  It will be a nice break from the caravan!

Ningaloo Reef......

We have been having an........
.....amazing time snorkelling the Ningaloo reef including Turquoise Bay....

....and stunning Coral Bay.  We have seen heaps of different varieties of fish and even swum with a turtle!

Feeding the fish was good fun too.

The WA coastline is breathtakingly beautiful and has exceeded our expectations.
Tac is enjoying the company of a black tipped reef shark in shallow water.

Red Dog!

"Red dog" in Dampier.  We drove off the highway especially
 to see him and.......

......also found this plaque where he was
buried in Cossack.

The big prawn in Exmouth where....
.......we spent the last two days fishing off the Jetty.  Yesterday we caught a nice feed of squid for lunch!
This beautiful GT was caught right beside us (and released) off the same jetty.  You can actually see the fish as they swim by and just have to be lucky enough that it takes your live bait!!
