Redclaw for dinner?

The biggest bottle tree in Roma - she is a beauty.

How do you like my black bream?

An esky full of Redclaw from Lake Maraboon near Emerald.  We are staying for 2 weeks or so and hope to catch a few more.

Look at these rippers not a bad size. You catch the redclaw in opera house nets with fruit and vegies.

Very tasty buggers - a cross between a yabby & a crayfish.

  1. Yum.... I could eat lots of these - how do you cook them? Chargrilled on the barbie with some melted butter??

  2. We've eaten them with seafood sauce and sautéed them in garlic butter. Next time on the Baby Q chargrilled as you say. Our friends next door pickle the legs and claws in vinegar & black peppercorns which taste great with a few beers!!!!
